concrete pressure grouting

Concrete pressure grouting is a process that attempts to considerably increase the strength of soil or rock by placing an especially designed mortar into the ground. This mixture is called grout. The gas fills in voids and breaks in the soil, stabilizing it for buildings and other structures. Special machines are used by workers to pump the grout into the field at high pressure. This way the grout can fill even the smallest gaps.

There are some real benefits with concrete pressure grouting; the biggest one, in my opinion, is that it makes the ground stronger. The grout serves as reinforcement for the buildings atop it, filling in holes and cracks. This can prevent buildings from sinking or crumbling, helping them to last longer. Also, concrete pressure grouting is typically less expensive than other methods for stabilizing soil, so construction companies favor it.
